The APS AuthorChoice program was developed to allow
researcher authors the ability to provide immediate, open and free
access to their work without the standard 12-month embargo that applies
to subscription access.
The fee for research articles is $2,000 (plus color fees, if applicable) and for review articles, $3,000. Articles published with the AuthorChoice option for open and free access are covered by the Creative Commons Attributions license (CC BY) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/),
under which all are eligible for reuse and distribution under the
condition that the original work published by APS must be cited.
